Interesting fact about the Photographer: In November of 1912, Curtis received terrible news. His friend and studio manager of his photography business in Seattle, Adolph Muhr, passed away. As a result, Curtis placed Ella McBride, another employee of his business, and his daughter, Beth, in charge of his studio. (from: Makepeace, Anne. Edward S. Curtis Coming to Light.
