French artist Louise Bourgeois, known for her gigantic spider sculptures, reveals her creative process and ongoing artistic influences.

Film: Squatting the Palace (2002)

This documentary follows artist Kiki Smith as she prepares an eight-room installation of sculptures, drawings and furniture for the 2005 Venice Biennale, a major artistic event. With the help of assistants who realize her plans, the film documents every step of the process as Smith works from concept to execution while discussing her upbringing and ideas about art.
