November 2 led by Susan Miller Hellert, historian and author of Hidden History of Dubuque.

Hellert relates the story of James, Lucius, Edward, and Solon Langworthy who arrived in the lead mining district of the upper Midwest in the 1820s and made a lasting impression on what would become the city of Dubuque. Miller’s research, conducted during the pandemic, resulted in her book, The Langworthys of Dubuque, The Key City’s First Family.
