This is the perfect souvenir after you take in Wood’s art in our Lengeling Gallery. We have aprons and our special tea towels emblazoned with quotes about food and art. Check these out for perfect hostess gifts. We knew you were looking for an “Arty” gift to take home for a special person so we have stocked cards, bags, and scarves meant to give year round. You’ll be so excited when you see the huge variety of items from Monet to handmade glass and woodland fairies. DuMA has enjoyed a long relationship with Arthur Geisert, whose complete works are among the museum’s most prized collections. Through the generosity of local benefactors, the museum acquired all of the artist’s prints, books and etching plates more than a decade ago—an archive that expands with each new publication. Enjoy purchasing a book, a card, or just looking at his etchings in our galleries. When out exploring our area make sure you stop by the museum. You’ll want to purchase the many art pieces and stickers which highlight our Mississippi River area. You should surely put a tea towel in your bag that features the full run of the “Old Muddy”… The adult books in our gift shop are there to showcase works by various artists but there are also books to inspire the hidden artist in you. Imagine challenging yourself as you sit down daily with 365 Days of Creativity. We also feature exhibit catalogs from past shows in our museum…a trip through some wonderful art. Edward S. Curtis’ The North American Indian has been part of the Dubuque Museum of Art’s permanent collection since 2009 thanks to a donation by the Dubuque Cultural Preservation Committee. The gift shop carries a wide selection of cards, books, and other items featuring Curtis’ works. Questions? For Gift Shop inquires, contact Keith Ahlvin at kahlvin@dbqart.org.
