DuMA’s In the Mind’s Eye (ITME) respite program is committed to improving the quality of life and bringing the joy of art to people living with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers.
Participants look at and talk about art, engage in an art activity, and share conversation in a safe and compassionate environment. A typical session involves viewing one or more works in the exhibition followed by an art activity exploring a variety of mediums including clay, pastels, paper or paint.
Maximum: 12 people per session (6 individuals living with dementia and their care partners)
Programs are offered May through October on the second Thursday of the month from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Reservations are Required
