YOUNG @ ART

Posted Online Every Second Tuesday

On the second Tuesday of the month Young At Art goes online! Preschool-aged kiddos can join-in with a parent/caregiver for a reading of a Caldecott Award-winning picture book and related art project using materials found around the home.

This will be a pre-recorded 15 to 20 minute free program for 3-6 year olds that will be posted on the DuMA YouTube and Facebook profile at 2 pm the day of the event.

Instructor: Hana Velde.

ART ADVENTURES

The newly remodeled Jeanne Glab Woodward Family Art Studio offers an inviting space for children and their families to create art through a variety of interactive art activities, free of charge. The downstairs gallery area also hosts annual student art shows featuring selected works of art from area student artists, while the classroom is host to the Museum’s youth art classes and Summer/Spring art camp programs.

SKETCHBOOK TUESDAYS

DuMA Teaching artist Hana welcomes families into her art studio to join her and her two children for weekly short family-oriented art explorations that kids can do independently or families can do together.

BABY & ME TOURS

Babies and their caregivers are welcome to participate in a 30-minute tour of the Museum exhibitions, focused on shapes, colors and textures. Baby and Me tours are offered every month. Specific dates may be found in our Event Calendar.

Advance registration is required. Register by calling the museum at 563-557-1851 or by emailing Margaret Buhr.
