Collections Management Consultant Expression of Interest

Schulhof Rashidi Architects, LLP (SRA) in conjunction with the Dubuque Museum of Art (DuMA) and Anser Advisory seeks a Collections Management Consultant to work on a new museum in Dubuque, Iowa.

The Dubuque Museum of Art, founded in 1874 and accredited by the American Alliance of Museums in 2004, is Iowa’s oldest cultural institution. Named a national affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution in 2016, DuMA’s mission is to create engaging art experiences that excite, inspire, and connect the community.

The project is a 38,000 SF new building located in Dubuque Iowa.

The museum is soliciting proposals from consultants that specialize in the evaluation of art collections and are qualified in recommending the best practices for the handling, care and storage of the collection. The collection management consultant will be a critical member of the team during the design and construction phases of the project and is to work closely with the owner and the design team in ensuring the successful transition of the museum from its current home to its future facility.
