Naturally when you think of Mother’s Day, you think of an Iron Pour. This one-of-a-kind event, conducted by Tamsie Ringler, features a team of local and visiting artists melting iron to 2800° and casting sculptures in DuMA’s parking lot.
Twenty relief molds will be available for visitors to carve on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 11 AM. The Mother’s Day Iron Pour is a rare chance to see molten iron—and ancient practices—in action.
Open to the public.
