Interesting fact about the Artist: After Edward S. Curtis’ death in 1952, his daughter, Florence, remembered her father as being:
… big, six feet two inches, husky, ruggedly built yet…he had a soft voice with a pleasing tone to it that implored confidence….Like most great men he seemed to have little sense of personal gain. Everything he did was directed toward the main theme of preparing material for the North American Indian [sic] and other writings about the tribes. His life was certainly dedicated to an ideal.
