Interesting fact about the Photographer: Curtis kept in touch with his children after an emotional Christmas reunion in 1927. He made sure to write letters to his grandchildren to keep in touch as well. In one letter, written to his two grandsons Jimmy and Ted, Curtis wrote from the point of view of his cat. His talented storytelling capabilities soared throughout the letter and even at the end where he included the cat’s “signature”– its paw dipped in ink and smeared across the paper.
