Interesting fact about the Photographer: William Myers, Curtis’ assistant in The North America Indian project, continued traveling across the United States in search of information on Native American tribes while Curtis was raising money working on Hollywood movie sets. Myers continued to be intrigued by capturing Native American life even though Curtis had stopped paying him. (from: Makepeace, Anne. Edward S. Curtis Coming to Light.
