Interesting fact about the Artist: In the early 1940s, Curtis’ daughters, Florence and Katherine, came to terms with the old age of their father, photographer Edward S. Curtis. As a result, they began writing down their father’s adventure stories of his thirty year trek across the U.S. documenting Native Americans. Curtis would go about his day cooking or driving as one of his daughters would write down his stories in hopes of producing a memoir for their father. (from: Makepeace, Anne. Edward S.
