Interesting fact about the Photographer: Curtis’ plan was to create twenty books full of his photographs and text that documented Native American life. The set of twenty books could be purchased for $3,000 each. Curtis gave J.P. Morgan twenty-five sets of the series in return for $75,000 over the next five years, which was to be used to purchase supplies and equipment. (from: Makepeace, Anne. Edward S.
