Interesting fact about the Photographer: Not only was Curtis a photographer, but he was gifted in painting and drawing as well. Curtis would often take his photographs and tint, draw, or paint the surface of the subject matter to give it a “painterly” effect. He did this hoping that more of his prints would sell.
